“15 Minutes of Fame” was a weekly television series aired on RogersTV Durham featuring up and coming comics competing open mic style in various venues throughout Durham Region for an opportunity to perform a 15 min opening set at the
Durham Region Comedy Festival’s Gala Show.
Weekly episodes feature 6 comics. Bottom three comics were eliminated within the broadcast, with three comics each episode promoted to participate in online voting for one week. Winner of online voting round that week moves on to a spot in a final round in episode 6. Episode 6 eliminates two more of our top 5 comics, sending three finalists forward for a final two week round of online voting.
The finale episode will reveal our winner and losers, profile our winner, and document the excitement of a first time breakthrough performance for one lucky budding comic.
